Das neunte Meeting der aktuellen FIM Supersport World Championship an diesem Wochenende markiert den Beginn des letzten Saisondrittels und damit die entscheidende Phase.

Für Marcel Schrötter ist der international bekannte Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours noch relativ neues Terrain. Erst seit seinem Wechsel in die seriennahe Meisterschaft hat sich der 32-jährige Deutsche mit der Strecke in Burgund, Frankreich, vertraut gemacht.

Marcel Schrötter und sein tschechisches Team WRP Racing unterbrachen vor einer Woche die sechswöchige Sommerpause der Serie mit einer Testsession auf der Rennstrecke MotorLand Aragón in Spanien.

Live-Übertragungen der Supersport-Rennen gibt es an diesem Wochenende wie gewohnt auf digitalen Plattformen wie dem Online-Portal des österreichischen Senders «ServusTV On», dem «Eurosport Player» und auf der offiziellen WorldSBK-Website geben, wo alle Sessions des Wochenendes live übertragen werden. Letztere ist allerdings kostenpflichtig und verfügt über einen englischen Kommentar.

«Ich bin wirklich froh, dass es in der Meisterschaft endlich wieder weitergeht. Wir hatten kürzlich einen interessanten Test. Auch wenn es für mich nur ein halber Tag war, konnten wir wichtige Erkenntnisse gewinnen und wir sollten das bevorstehende Wochenende nutzen, um weitere Informationen zu sammeln. Ich bin überzeugt, dass wir dadurch für die letzten drei danach noch ausstehenden Rennwochenenden der Saison besser aufgestellt sein werden. Allerdings ist Magny-Cours für mich keine einfache Strecke, da ich dort erst zweimal gefahren bin und nicht die besten Ergebnisse erzielt habe. Aber ich finde die Strecke cool und sie macht auch Spass. Deshalb freue ich mich darauf und bin froh, dass wir die Arbeit fortsetzen können, die wir beim Test in Aragón begonnen haben. Ich hoffe auf ein solides Wochenende, das für mich und das gesamte Team sehr wichtig wäre. Mit einem Erfolgserlebnis in das letzte Drittel der Saison zu starten, würde uns allen sehr guttun.»

This weekend’s round nine the 2025 FIM Supersport World Championship marks the start of the final third of the season and thus the decisive stage.

For Marcel Schrötter, the internationally renowned Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours is still relatively new territory. It is only since switching to the production-based championship that the 32-year-old German rider has become familiar with the circuit in Burgundy, France.

Marcel Schrötter and his Czech team WRP Racing interrupted the series' six-week summer break a week ago with a test session at Spanish MotorLand Aragón circuit.

«I am really glad that the championship is finally back on track. We recently had an interesting test. Even though it was only half a day for me, we were able to gain some important insights, and we should use the upcoming weekend to gather more information. I am convinced that this will put us in a better position for the last three race weekends of the season. However, Magny-Cours is not an easy track for me, as I have only raced there twice and have not achieved the best results. But I think the track is cool and it is also fun to ride there. That i's why I am looking forward to it and I am glad we can continue the work we started during the test in Aragón. I am hoping for a solid weekend, which would be very important for me and the whole team. Starting the final third of the season with a sense of achievement would do us all a lot of good.»
