Die dritte Runde der nationalen Meisterschaftssaison führt Teams und Fahrer erneut zu den östlichen Nachbarn in die Tschechische Republik. Diesmal ist das Ziel jedoch der Nordwesten des Landes.

Marcel Schrötter kennt das Autodrom Most, das am Rande der gleichnamigen Stadt liegt, wie seine Westentasche, und er weiss auch, worauf es an diesem Wochenende ankommt, wenn er auf der BMW M 1000 RR seines Teams GERT56 by RS Speedbikes aus Pirna erneut um Meisterschaftspunkte kämpft und seinen Erfolg vor einem Monat in Brünn wiederholen will.

Der 33-jährige Schrötter feierte am letzten Sonntag im Mai seinen ersten Sieg in der «EURO MOTO» Superbike und liegt derzeit mit fünf Punkten Rückstand auf den Führenden Lukas Tulovic auf dem zweiten Platz in der Gesamtwertung.

«Nach meinem letzten Rennwochenende in der Langstrecken-Weltmeisterschaft freue ich mich, wieder in der EURO MOTO an den Start zu gehen. Ich hoffe, dass ich gleich einen guten Start hinlegen kann, da mir die Umstellung von der EWC-BMW zur BMW in der EURO MOTO bisher immer etwas schwergefallen ist. Most ist eine coole Strecke, die definitiv viel Spass macht, aber anders als mit einem Supersport-Motorrad ist mit einem Superbike viel mehr Action gefordert. Ausserdem unterscheidet sich der Charakter der Strecke völlig von dem in Brünn und Spa – beides riesige Strecken –, sodass ich mich ein wenig umstellen muss. In Most steht mir definitiv mehr Arbeit bevor, denn Brünn lässt sich viel geschmeidiger fahren und bietet mehr Zeit zum Verschnaufen im Verlauf einer Runde, während Most genau das Gegenteil ist. Aber ich freue mich auf das Wochenende. Als Team sind wir gut aufgestellt, sowie ich fit bin. Trotzdem denke ich, dass es wegen der Hitze sehr spannend werden wird. Es wird wichtig sein, dass wir unseren Job sauber erledigen und konzentriert bleiben, damit wir am Sonntag das Beste herausholen können.»

EN: Next stop in EURO MOTO Season - Autodrom Most

Round three of this year’s national championship in Germany takes teams and riders back to the eastern neighbours in the Czech Republic. This time, however, the destination is the northwest of the country.

Marcel Schrötter knows the Autodrom Most, located on the outskirts of the city of the same name, like the back of his hand, and he also knows what matters this weekend as he once again battles for championship points aboard his BMW M 1000 RR for his team, GERT56 by RS Speedbikes from Pirna, and aims to repeat his success from a month ago in Brno.

Schrötter, 33, celebrated his first victory in «EURO MOTO» Superbike series on the last Sunday in May and is currently in second place in the overall standings, five points behind leader Lukas Tulovic.

«After my last race weekend in Endurance World Championship, I’m looking forward to competing in EURO MOTO again. I hope I can get off to a good start right away, since the transition from the EWC BMW to the BMW we use in EURO MOTO has always been a bit of a challenge for me so far. However, Most is a cool track providing definitely a lot of fun, but unlike riding a Supersport bike there, a Superbike machine demands a lot more action. Plus, the track’s character is completely different from that of Brno and Spa, both of which are huge track, so I’ll have to adjust a bit. I definitely have more work ahead of me at Most, because Brno is much smoother to ride and offers more time to catch your breath during a lap, while Most is exactly the opposite. But I’m looking forward to the weekend. As a team, we’re well-positioned, and I’m in good shape. Still, I think the heat will make it very exciting. It’ll be important for us to do our job cleanly and stay focused so we can get the most out of Sunday.»
